Maybe I'm a completely boring git and everyone else is cool fun lovers..... but I love the f1. Been to silverstone practise Friday's for the last 4 years now. Still to this day it boggles my mind how fast they take corners.
They frequently (ish) allow public in (for free :D) on F1 test days, so keep an eye on the website. Usually a schoolday, but usually worth a morning out.  Sometimes access is limited to the main Luffield complex stands, sometimes more, seems to be luck of the draw.

Used to watch it religiously butI got board with F1 about 15 years ago they started messing around with the rule too much then and is only got worse lately. Once the first corner is done the race is over (bar mechanical failiure) it's a game of follow the leader. Haven't watch a full race now for a decade

And now at the first sight of moisture, they have to start behind safety cars in order to inject that extra boredom.

Nope:

a) he wouldn't have got through, as the A43 is 4 lanes of 1 way traffic
b) I wouldn't invite anyone on GP weekend, I've lived here long enough to know better

Aye billions sent on car development  but they can't start or run a race if its a little damp more research need into tyre me thinks is needed.

You should watch a whole race then. Ok, perhaps not the front runners but there has been decent racing all the way to the finish line for the last few races ;)

That said, it's not as good as the old days :y

Even I watched the British GP, and unless I missed something, it was pretty dull.  It was Ch4, but I always thought all the pictures were the official FIA feed, with local TV audio?

Every bit of overtaking was artificial (DRS), with the most exciting thing was Hamilton nearly overtaking the safety car.

To be fair, most of the drivers were less than happy about starting behind the safety car, but they had no choice.
It may not have been an all time classic in pure racing terms, but Hamilton gave a masterclass in wet weather driving.
He is on a different level to the others in terms of driving talent.

Mercedes played a blinder...they new they were braking the rules by giving rossberg instructions of the radio to tell him what to do about the problem with his car,,,,they knew if they got a 5 or even a 20 seconds penalty rossberg would still be third, thus winning points for himself and the main thing winning points for the constructors championship...because if they had stuck to the rules and not given that advice the car could have possibly  been out of the points or even not finished at all thus gaining no points at all..crafty sods...In football that would have been classed as a proffessional foul..lol  ;D ;D

That's where the option to watch where you want is an advantage ;)

Verstappen driving around the outside of Rosberg on the wet line was as good a move as Ive seen in any era of F1 racing.
He is going to be the one who gives Hamilton trouble in the near future imo.
