speedo cable
« on: 07 January 2017, 10:18:29 »

hello, 2.6 cdx, my speedo is knackered. Im thinking of changing the speedo cable, it looks tricky, do i take out the binnacle and find the cable that goes into it from behind, then somehow follow the cable to wherever it goes, it sounds simple but I bet it isnt. does anyone have any actual experience of changing this? i cant seem to find details in the maintenance guide. many thanks. The speedometer is electronic. It gets a speed pulse from the ABS ECU

Try re-seating the dash binnacle

Does the fuel computer report viable instantaneous mpg? This will give us a clue if the fault is ABS, or speedo itself
