it's not politics. it's economics.  we've excellent world class venues in this country. just dont understand why we have to spend over 8 billion building a new set in london.

agreed .. why is necessary to spend that much money.. :-/

yes it brings people together, but the people you describe wont be changed by it!

I fought hard to get tickets for the commonwealth games in manchester, got some for netball in the end! when we arrived the stadium was nearly empty!

i uderstand what you all saying but why do the olympics have to be in london. why not bring them up north. we've already got the venues. easier to get to.. why does it have to be in london.

Well I have already said how to save £20,000,000,000 and that is to scrap the idea of the national database and ID cards - but Gordon Stalin Brown wants them

As always, perhaps he is the monkey rather than the organ grinder....

ID cards, in one suggested form or another, have been on the starting blocks for quite some number of years.  Gordon B is simply the current mouthpiece of the others in Westminster (and other 'permanent' ministerial places) who really pull the strings....

He does not make policy single handed, remember!

Still can't see why we should have them Stalin and Lenin ect can ****** off.

Government control of citizens and the trying to get us all to a mediocre sameness - seems very communist to me - socialism and authitarianism together are evil.
