Fix the bloody shower!
Awoken in the night by the sound of fast dripping water. Soon located it to it dripping out of the shower valve. Had to turn off the water - cold was easy, couldn't work out how to do the hot. But turning off cold stopped the leak.
Having remembered by mum had a similar problem with her Aqualisa shower a few years ago, and spookily enough discussing it at work a couple of weeks ago, I suspected it was the cartridge. No idea what type mine took, though, so had to strip it down and check. As suspected, it was the cheapie manual type.
So, woke up this morning to her asking me what I'd done to the shower

.
Had to go to Birmingham for work today, so had her ringing around plumbers merchants trying to locate the cartrudge in stock somewhere, and I swung by and picked one up on my way home.
Sorted out isolating the hot water, then changed the cartidge. All went OK, though removing seal at back of shower body was a bit tedious, and resealing the wall plate was never going to be my strong point (and will have a 2nd go tomorrow - might have wiped away a shade too much), but its cured the leak

Pizza on order, I'm starving!
