I've got both push and pull fans with resistors here (DE11 Swadlincote ,70 miles from the blast zone Brackley) Free to you if you need either  :y
Is the front (push?) one ident code YS?  If so, when you in?

Front fan is fubar.  Initially, it would spin backwards, but would immediately seize within 5 degrees when rotated by hand the correct way.  Measuring resistance whilst slowly rotating the wrong way, it would go from less than 1 ohm to open circuit.  Freed it up to it will rotate in either direction, but now won't spin in either direction under power ;D.

Trouble is, rear fan (suck?) is reporting the same fault codes, but spins fine with 12v applied to it.  So possibly still a cooling module fault.

Front fan clips into the A/C Condenser at the bottom, and is held on with nuts onto studs on the condenser at the top.  Upon removal, the bottom of the condenser came off with the fan, with definite signs of yellow dye in that area, so that confirms where the A/C leak was ;D.

If a replacement front fan cures the issue, I might just buy a new condenser for about £55.  I might even put some gas in it as well.

There is no way that battles will ever get 45mpg. Ever.

I think she achieved 42mpg once over a tank when the Chav was bust she used it for a week. Must have been school hols, when the red rage doesn't hit her ;D

Its not pristine, but its not that bad TBH.  I've always wondered how GM got anti corrosion so right on the Zaf-A, yet so wrong on the Omega.

Considering the Omega structure is a mid-seventies design, it isn't bad. Way better than its contemporaries  - Granada, E28BMW, Renault 30, CX.

*If* the fan is happy only being attached at the top, and given the flawless* test drive its just had with the front fan in the garage, it may get a reprive.

I think some (probably all?) of these fan faults were pre-existing for ages, and went unnoticed.

*gutless, obviously.
