North Wales to Newent?

Ill be blatting down the A roads 11ish at a guess, quite a bit to do before i go, so cant be very accurate time wise.
Not sure when Ljay is leaving

A483 - Oswestry
A5 - Shrewsbury
A49 - Hereford
A417, B4125 - Newent

Tis a very long way round to use the motorway.

When going south I tend to go A5 and join at Telford anyway

Same here - join the A5 at Bethsda - amazing driving road and views

Its only 6 miles more for me to go motorway than on A-road, yet its 35mins less if I go on the motorway...

Purely depends on the time you hit it :) I remember it from not so long back when I went to Bristol.  The only real delay I had was a smash on the M6 just after stoke...

Last time I went to Manchester to build a VoIP server, I got stuck there - hit the jam around 8am.  Cleared the M54 Jnc around 1pm....
