Steve those prices are really high. I’ve travelled a lot lately and have been getting them much cheaper. If you’d like me to PM details, I will
Beggars can't be choosers, James, we've left it really late. I trust Boots to post out in time, and a Boxing Day test as close as Leeds is not to be sniffed at. Thanks anyway  :)

I got a box 7 of LFT's from my local pharmacy for free last week.  :y

That was before the omicon hysteria though....  :-\
They're no good for travel, though.

Really couldn't be bothered with all the nonsense to go abroad now, will stick with walking & caravanning in the UK for the foreseeable future , at least being retired you can just go at the drop of a hat , plenty of places we've never been in this country.
The only place I would really like to see is Switzerland one day if we ever return to normality.

I'm here in French France. Arrived 11th Dec, and we've changed out return to the UK to 22nd Dec so that we can get the Day2 UK PCR test done before Christmas eve. My second trip from Dec26th-Jan2nd is obviously in extreme doubt now though - If I leave France they won't let me back in again.

Locals here are pretty angry at Macron - about 50% of ski trade is British here in Tignes/Val D'Isere, and if they lose Christmas and New Year bookings they'll be in dire straights. We're doing out best to prop up the local economy, but there is only so much happy hour booze one can drink ;D

It's crossed my mind. Trouble is the people I'm with this week need to get back for Christmas (as do I really), and the family I'm supposed to be skiing with after Christmas won't be able to get here.

However, if Boris imposes 10 day lockdown on people returning from the EU then we may as well just stay put. Or if Macron orders the ski lifts to shut, then we'll just bolt for the tunnel.

Not seen any hint or mention of that here.  :-\

In fact they've just scrapped the red list country hotel quarantine system, on the basis that Omicon is already here in force and it made very little difference.   ::)

Yes it's straightforward to understand sites are open or sites are closed, completely self contained and even greater on the plus side you don't have to travel with idiots.

More important is that you don't have to check everyday to see if the rules to get back home have changed drastically. This is why I haven't been to France for nearly 3 years.
