I think the word 'briefly' describes the fix.

ABS ECU was the wrong one.

However the swap (well disconnect / reconnect) fixed the issue.....for about an hour :(

Nope  :(

As Jimbob says, the original ecu/actuator module went back on, coz the one timbuk had by chance in his boot, had 12 actuators inside it, my original one has 8 (discovered after removing it).

The ABS light stayed off for a least 100yrds  :(

But at least i know the part number now  ;D (its printed on the ecu underneath)
