There are currently 13368 airliners airborne around the world showing on my tracking screens. If we assume 100 people on board each airliner (which is probably on the low side), that's 1.3million people defying gravity as I type.

The chances of this changing* in the next 5 years. Zero.

Instead of trying to slag off the messenger (Katie Hopkins), try doing a bit of research. If Truss/Sunak or whoever continues with Johnson's Net Zero aims, then air travel (certainly cheap air travel) will become a thing of the past. I'm not saying Hopkins is right, but the fact that so many nations seem to be reducing their flight capacity should be food for thought.

In her last significant act as Prime Minister, Theresa May changed the UK’s Climate Change Act to commit us to eliminating all greenhouse gas emissions in the UK by 2050. This decision is based on good climate-science, was a response to a great wave of social protest and has been replicated in 60 other countries already,” the Absolute Zero report commissioned by the UK government explains.

According to the authors of the report, the only way that the UK government can meet their Absolute Zero obligations is to phase out all air travel, implementing an outright ban in 2050 until such a time as the government can conceive of a means of producing planes that produce zero greenhouse gases at any point during an aircraft’s production or use.

It shouldn’t need to be stated, but this is absolutely impossible.

Nonetheless, the authors say that “All airports except Heathrow, Glasgow and Belfast [will] close” between 2020-2029 and “All remaining airports [will] close” by 2050.

You and I know that it's total nonsense, Mick, but some people are beyond help. The BBC, and other mainstream news outlets, tell us if Boris farts in bed, but no mention of disappearing airports or the WEF trying to take over the world. This is left to obscure groups of conspiracy theorists who, in my opinion, should be shot, in front of their families.
