Yes of course, but I'm a realist nothing lasts forever, and it's all mapped out for all of us, I could " wake up dead" tomorrow but I'm certainly not worried about it but I am completely fed up with all these amateur predictions ,doom & gloom don't need it ,enjoy every day as it comes.

I get that Katie Hopkins is very much a marmite figure, but she's talking about facts in the video that Migalot linked. BA cancelling 10,000 flights, Amsterdam Schiphol airport reducing its capacity and France banning internal flights and ads for fossil fuels.  ;)

Katie Hopkins being Katie Hopkins there's a dollop of personal opinion sprinkled in, but she's entitled to her opinion same as everyone else and that doesn't mean she's wrong just because she's Katie Hopkins.  ::)

I think everyone should watch the vid before making their minds up.  :y

We've cancelled flights because Heathrow can't procure enough staff to operate in accordance within its licensing requirements. Reduced staffing means reduced capacity in the terminals. And it is significantly less disruptive to cancel a few flights well ahead of time that to plan to operate only to be told you can't an hour before the first one is due to take off,  which is how Heathrow were operating in June :-X

Nothing to do with saving the planet.

And yes, 10,000 flights over four months is a few.

400 a day in and out of T5,  so across the network,  it is probably 2 days flying a month.

She's right about something though,  less flights equates to less airport revenue,  which in turn leads to higher charges. That's how economics works in a shareholder driven society.

The question isn't so much what's going on?  But rather is it genuinely a contrived ploy,  or rather, a series of unfortunate coincidences?

So fair play to her for asking the questions,  but try not to be hysterical about it... After all, totally unreasonable is the new acceptable.
