The BBC.... Their weather forecast on the website said it was going to be 18 degrees and sunny yesterday at Heathrow. 

So I emerged from the Terminal 3 building into the godforsaken place that is Terminal 3 bus station after 5 weeks in Mauritius in my shorts and t-shirt to be greeted with grey skies, 10 degrees and a biting wind!  Brrrr!

Went to Lidl and got bags out of boot.

Came back with full bags and…… the rear window wiper had gone. Bastardos.

Of course it was siesta time , so car spares shops closed. Back home and I fitted a six inch length of pool noodle as we have rain for a few days before I can get back to the big city. Ruddy clever cars now , if you select reverse with screen wipers on , rear wiper cranks up. Funny thing is, not that many mk7 golf estates around, though it might be fitted to other vehicles.

All my kids and grandkids have dogs and i love 'em all, (the dogs, not the kids)  . Just stating that not everyone feels the same way.

Watching my pension fund lose thousands of £,s and can do nothing about it.
Im state retirement age at the end of October, but hoping to carry on until Im 70.
If this mess goes on for an extended period I will need to try and work until I drop, and hope that it happens well the other side of 70.
