Ive just read on another forum that the Tories had some kind of election broadcast last night at 7pm.
They had footage of a Union flag fluttering - upside down ffs !
Says it all really.  ::)
There's no end of AI engineered shyte floating around, and very little of it is either genuine or accurate.

This might be even more of an issue than it was for Brexit or the last US election.

Basically ignore anything you see about the election and go with your instinct.

That sums up the real problem with politics - the encouragement to make important decisions using emotion instead of reason. It also explains how each faction can use the same simple fact to justify diametrically opposed policies.

Clacton is known locally as Cracktown on sea. Its an absolute dump of a place, although some of the surrounding areas are nice.
We had a wander around Clacton for an hour about a year ago.
There seemed to be two main groups of people who hang around the town. The drug addicts and the alcoholics.
A shame but probably not untypical of seaside towns whose heyday is long gone.

When Net Zero really lands on us with the legally binding 'carbon budgets' imposed by the all powerful and completely unaccountable Climate Change Committee, and cheap holiday flights are banned, those seaside town heydays might come back if people can't jet off to Shagaluf for their week in the sun.  :)

That's if they're even allowed out of their 15 minute city.  :-X

Saw what is probably a 7 minute on social media. Horrible block of flats housing 20,000 folk with everything they need on site. What a truly horrible existence.

I think you are right about seaside towns renaissance . Those with families could do worse than snap up property in an unloved seaside town as an inheritance.

It can’t be long before someone spots the lunacy of holiday makers flying out to then catch a cruise. Maybe you could cycle to work for a year to earn carbon etc credits for two weeks of mass pollution.

Yes, I do.[/highlight]

The only beans I actually avoid are Heinz beanz.

Ridiculously expensive soggy tasteless shite.

Lidl, Aldi, and Tesco beanz are what us poor people eat at about 35p a tin. :)

Well yes. Local Spanish supermarkets stock them but the price is astronomical. Enough is enough. We buy the Spanish brand which are surprisingly good.but for a treat I buy a jar or beans and drain them and create my own sauce………….

Far too much sugar in them for my liking. Rarely eat beans anyway, just junk food imo.
