And the line that always gets missed between the TB and the rear multiram accumulator.

Not to mention the Top hat seal of it splits when the breathers are disturbed...

Under the breather bridge.

If you press or lift the Ecotec plate on top of the plenum with the engine running as you spray carb cleaner along it and you hear the engine rpm change, that's your leak.

plenty of home made ideas on youtube . even saw one where someone used a vape pen !
at the end of the day ( and especialy if its not something you are going to use regularly ) any method of producing and pushing out some kind of smoke will work !

Hi, I finally ran the smoke test. There were no leaks and everything was pressurized. Do you check the entire RAM system with the engine off? The car is still the same, and worse on the highway than in the city.

Hi everyone, I still have errors P0170 and P0173 on my Omega with the LTFT at over +25 on both banks. The car is still running smoothly with no fault symptoms and my mechanic gave up as he can't find anything wrong to repair. At the official Opel workshop here (now stellantis...) they can't find anything wrong either and I'm running out of ideas on how to get out of this one.

Do you guys think it would be a good idea to try an injector cleaner like Liqui Moly Injection Reiniger and refuel with E10?

I am also planning to change the air filter.

Best regards.

so to conclude . we are thinking there may still be an air leak (vacuum) before the maf somewhere ?
assuming there arnt any physical engine problems fundanentaly that can cause this then this leak could be a  number of (already checked too ) items.
inlet manifold -to-head.
injector manifold and injector seals to manifold.
breather seperator box, breather plastic top section, hoses and various 'o' rings associated with .
anything allowing extra air through the physical engine breathing such as rocker cover leaks.oil filler cap, dipstick etc
rings/seals on throttle body.
splits in the concertina hoses from throttle body down to front before maf.
connection to brake servo and vacuum take off to storage vessels .
thats a list which springs to mind . there may be more items ( or possibilities for the syptoms.for eg . what would a partially blocked exhaust show as ?  what would a poor air filter or blockage show ?)

these are areas that i will be checking on mine too when i  next  do the cambelt as i have a +3%  ish LTFT on mine which seems to affect nothing but i would like to reduce (most garages are telling me that within 10% is no issue anyway ) but im being told on here that it should be zero.

I am sorry @cam.in.head, I think that we are mixing both cases, maybe you can open a new post to make sure there is no confussion between both cars.

In my case, original poster here, I still have errors P0170 and P0173. The car is still running smoothly with no fault symptoms and my mechanic gave up as he can't find anything wrong to repair.

The air filter takes literally 2 minutes to change. Why haven't you done it yet if it's on your list?

I haven't done it before because I had it replaced about a year and a half ago, so I thought (maybe wrongly) that it would be in good condition.

Besides that, do you think I should try the injector cleaner?

It won't hurt, but it may not solve the trims...
