Further ABS fault
« on: 08 June 2025, 16:16:01 »

Okay so got my Snap On code reader working, it says fault code 35 pressure release relay fault. (same as Ds diagnostic tool) so does this mean it needs a rebuild? I take its not referring to the 2 50amp electrical relays on the top?

Wouldn't be the worst idea unless the wiring diagrams clearly indicate what/where the pressure release relay is for testing purposes.

Just found an online Vauxhall repair manual, PIA to find what I wanted but it said code 35 due to pump not making pressure after 3 secs or pump not turning off. Looks like it will defo have to be serviced.

Oh! I wonder if it needs connecting to a Tech 2 type thing to cycle the pump to get the air out to allow it to build pressure:/

Surely a snap off scanner should manage that :-\

Well neither my scanner or Ds modern one will support activation of pump, tried to get the relays out to bridge pump feed but only the top came off one (not the one I wanted) and the other refuses to budge. D will see if the folks he sends ABS units to can fix this one on Monday.

Yes but now it says brake switch fault but that works , checked the wiring and all looks okay. Brakes do need bleeding as a bit long travel when servo working. Only 2 wires on switch by the way.
