The company the government hinted they would use - Palantir - have come out and said they aren't interested in bidding for it, as it wasn't in the manifesto, thus is undemocratic.

This just shows what a bunch of useless far left student activist amateurs we have running the country.  ::)

Not the first time something like this has happened either.

A few months ago Starmer went to Albania for a European heads of government meeting of some kind and announced on camera with the Albanian PM stood by his side that he was going to do a Rwanda style deal with the Albanians, to send illegals there for processing.

I don't think so!  The Albanian PM replied immediately!  ;D

Check your phone apps as they’ve started putting the Gov UK ID Check app on our phones already. I’ve already uninstalled the app on mine, it’s a blue app.  I’m well pissed off about it.  >:(

Oops, this could be me being a div.  ::)  I had to verify some paperwork the other day, can’t for the life of me remember what it was, and I had to use the phone’s camera whilst holding my passport close so that the check page could read the chip on the front of the passport. I bet that was when the app was downloaded (not by me), so hopefully nothing sinister, just me being a pillock.  :-[
Old people and technology, how embarrassing.  :-[ :-[

Ive just been reading a thread on Nexdoor.com where a lot of people are noticing this App on their phones, and they all say they didnt download it.
If its being done by the Govt. its disgusting.

Apple are probably in on it.

I was thinking about this, and we already have a digital ID account. It's the account you use for any .gov services such as passport or driving licence renewals.

What Smarmer is proposing is a physical card to reflect this preexisting system of registration. Arguably it's largely unnecessary as you have the actual digital ID already. For physical ID a driving licence is linked to this digital ID so another card is unnecessary.

That doesn't make what he's playing at right by any measure though and he should be shottedstopped by any reasonably effective means.

I don't really understand why they're doing this. Couldn't they just read the chip that was implanted during Covid?

They have being trying all ways to track us, I remember when they talked about chipping/implants when a baby was stolen from a maternity ward years ago, they were trying to explain it was the way forward into the future.  Maybe for them, certainly not us.  :-\
