might as well get them to do a fault code reading while its plugged in, check for any errors and get them to tell you what they are.

Mine's a PRE face lift T reg 99 and I have pyrotechnics in my seats!  ;)

Mine's a PRE face lift T reg 99 and I have pyrotechnics in my seats!  ;)

I think side airbags came in on the mini facelift around 1997

Re what else to get checked on Tech2 at dealers....

What about ensuring cruise is enabled so all you need is the stalk, assuming that its not already fitted?

cos unless you're driving a fly-by-wire throttled car you need more than just the stalk. There's a seperate actuator and ECU on cars that have a throttle cable.

2.6/3.2 are FBW. Early facelifts (i.e. 2000) were still 2.5/3.0 hence no FBW.
