WTF!  She wont let you claim, but she wont let you do a "menial" (I'm making assumptions here) job to tide you over until something more suitable comes along?

Been there - done that.  Got made redundant and ended up working in a distribution warehouse for a month order picking until a job i was more qualified for came through.  Money, hours and conditions were cr#p and i was working alongside a bunch of dis-interested agency workers, but it was still work and i was proud to be doing it.

Put your foot down with a firm hand mate.

Thats a nice little money spinner but the two we have in Winsford have cost us a fortune. 2 brand new houses and we've lost £2400 in the last 4 months because the tenants have disapeared each owing 3 month rent and add in the falling house prices :(

Where's that rope ;D

Yes its all changed since we were lads ::) How come your visiting the job centre Pete. I take it you're unemployed :-? Is this recent?
Ive been self employed for about 8 years but most of the work I do is for councils and their cutting back :( The last work I did was two days worth in September, i've had my CV out with loads of agencies but i've not had a snifter as yet. My wife is doing my head in, we have a Morrisons distribution warehouse about 15 minutes walk up the road and Roberts Bakery about 10 mins away but she won't let me work their or sign on, she'd rather blow what little money we have saved :-?

You've got to claim your benefits Pete. Christmas is coming and your entitled to them. Tell your missus that you wont win any prizes for getting by on your own money, quite the opposite, people will think you're nuts.

Spot on advice....lets face it so many people that havent ever contributed to this country claim benefits. You have worked hard and helped the state by paying your taxes your perfectly entitled to claim your taxes back now....

You still buying and selling Cars Pete?

Funny thing jobs......All the really great jobs that we would all do for nothing, come with great wages and a package of perks that are second to none.

By the same token ...all the jobs that nobody wants to do ...come with the minimum wage ...poor working conditions..long hours..poor pension plans..dangerous working conditions and bad bosses who treat people like s#it.

Here is an example of a good job offer.

Ugly and uneducated teenager required to play for Manchester United.
No qualifications required...other than to be able to kick a football.
Perks include a Bentley Continental and Range Rover Sport before you reach 21...and as much sex as you like with pretty blond bimbo's despite being both thick and ugly.
A mock Tudor mansion in Cheshire is included(about 2 months salary)
Working week approx 20 hours....(to include weekends.)
Wages approx £150,000 a week .....plus any performance bonus. :y :y
It may be an advantage to your application if your surname rhymes with Looney :'(

Life's a bitch ...then you die :'(....But keep optimistic....you never know. :y :y :y
