Over many years Vauxhall have built some wonderful family cars of the medium to large variety.

Below I list my personal favourites, but if you had the choice of just TWO  (assuming you already have your treasured Omega) which ones would you pick? :-?

OR are there any Classic Vauxhall's I have left out that you would pick instead? :-?

1957 E Series Cresta

[I don't know where this was photographed but it looks like a car I was chasing for 3 or 4 years from about 1998. I used to see it at shows I attended in and around Bedfordshire /Northamptonshire .
It belonged to a Scotsman from Corby but was originally bought and used most of it's life by a coal merchent again from Corby. Northants.
I seen it up to about 2002 but it then disappeared and even asking the members of the owners club at Billing each year didn't locate it.
In the years I met the owner I made it clear that was interested in buying it and the fact that I have another car that I have owned since 1976 impressed him enough to say he would give me first refusal.
Sadly two house moves had caused me to lose his telephone number and probably the car. :'(
It was absolutley original and nearly concourse it also had a patina that could never be re created. The interior was also silver and maroon buttoned vinyl  8-)
Beautiful and gets my vote as the best .
Anyway I'll just have to make do with this

Hardly making do! Always did like the Manta. :-* That and the Lotus Carlton are my faves although the 1960's models do have a certain charm. Haven't got long enough sideburns to drive them unfortunately. ;)

All I can find out so far Olympia is that a " J. Alexander from Corby" owned FVV141 in 2002. ;)

Perhaps you could go via a Corby telephone directory and do some investigatory work to establish who owns this car now? :-? :-? :)

The later version was a bit of a ugly brute by comparison.

Shouldn't all muscle cars look aggressive?  Particularly ones from the 70's?
