This was brought up by a certain national daily today about both obamas and hamiltons colour they are certainly both of mixed race and i do find it offensive that they get called "black" whilst their white heritage gets quickly forgotten...I grew up with a half caste friend who was constantly ignored by afro-caribeen relatives who did not think he was worthy of acknowledgement or friendship he found his place in society and actually became quite a good boxer till he suffered a career ending injury he then went on to coach in the boxing game and has seen a couple of his proteges go into the proffesional game...he has always considered himself British before being black or white....

I get very confused by all of this, which chages, seemingly weekly.
Apparently being of mixed race or half caste is offensive to Black or White, and goes back to the Slave days of White people raping or otherwise having children. The in thing now is 'Dual Heritage' what people forget is there is only one 'Race' the 'Human Race' and there are good and bad whatever your colour, that is equality.
Now, having to give in to Cultural / religeous ideology removes equality, where do we go from here?
