Computer techies what the heck is This............

Needed to get some ones attention for this one.

I need to get a serial to usb cable and need to know what type of cable I need. Just wondered if any of theses eould be useable.

Can anyone let me know which one I need. Its for use with my cheapo tech 2 that I have purchsed. This is the one I bought

LOL, cheapo tech2 is even more tempremental with usb-serial adpaters than it is on a std com port

Id have to disagree, the usb one i got seems to work fine even on vista. maybe just pot luck i guess :y

Mine works fine-ish, though it drags a very fast laptop to its knees...

If you force it to become COM1, you may have success.

I have had them working under XP and Vista
