1) It IS very overpriced.
2) I wouldn't fit a cylinder tank in an estate!
3) That's a professional installation???? Injecting the LPG into the plenum is a big no-no! It makes it virtually the same as a mixer system! I reckon that's probably why it's going!  :o :o

God I'm so glad I did my own installation... I've only seen 1 professional installation up to the same standard as mine... Entwood's :y :y

That LPG conversion probably has "straws" on the back of the nozzles, which reach down into the intake passages from the plenum to inject the gas down by the valve, so not as bad as it looks.

Better, IMHO, to drill and tap the manifold but it can be done that way and it saves removing the manifold.

True...  But it looks bloody awful and not worth the money he paid. I would have gone ape if that was what was done to mine! That's why I went DIY and then you get what you're proud of, and something which doesn't look like it was fitted by a monkey! Straws are not an ideal method of injecting LPG... Just a compromise!!

I'm just glad you were willing to do my manifold because that was the only bit I wasn't 100% confident with :y :y :y

Agreed on all counts... and I hope he at least took the plenum off to drill and tap it. :o

He is dreaming with that price though. Look at the mileage!  ::)

I doubt it!

Might stick mine up for £2995... Judging value from his advert it'd be a bargain ::) ::) :D :D

Trying to make sense of paying £1800 for a conversion and then only doing 4k miles... I'll have a pound that it doesn't run right.

Oh... And the MAF will be shot soon to because he's fitted an oiled K&N ::) ::)

Cant see how that can be so....the best they could do is get the 'straws' into the top 20-30mm of the inlet given that they are at an angle (how would you ever get the plenum off!)

They are quite flexible so could get them further in but at the end of the day it isn't injected at the same point as the petrol is so you are going to have performance issues and a noticeable difference between petrol and LPG running, which (thanks to KW's drilling and fitting of my nozzles) I don't have :y :y :y
