Ive lost my MOT certificate.
« on: 14 December 2008, 21:06:38 »

As title Ive misplaced my MOT certificate...only seen it last week so must be at home somewhere, unless the wife"s decluttered of course. :-/

Apart from contacting the garage who issued the original (no idea who) is it possible too check online...yeah clutching at straws i know but im sure it runs out fairly soon and don't fancy a flashing blue light in the rear view mirror. :-[

If its still the same as it was, contact the issuing garage with the approximate date of issue and they can issue a duplicate.  For a fee, of course.....

edit - just re-read original post.  You dont know the issuing garage....  DOH! me!!   :-[

edit again - VOSA link...

I believe it does not matter who issued the original MOT, now it is all online so to speak, a duplicate can be obtained from any MOT station for a fee.

Lost mine once, and needed to buy tax.....

Took all my docs, internet prinouts the lot to show I had an MOT.

Woman in post office, no problem sir, the system tells us if your not eligible to buy tax!

Fair play to the system on that occasion.

mine runs out 4th feb but i dont think it has a chance in passing. i even had a vauxhall dealer text me and say it has run out and i could be driving it illegally, so i rang them asked where they got the information from. then politely told them to check there rather computers and not to contact me again.  >:( >:( >:(
