some interesting finds in a met police ARV
« on: 17 December 2008, 07:57:13 »

writing here, to save info dragging on in my advert for the car for sale.

there was an interesting find yesterday,  a new un spent taser cartridge that fires the barbs into the suspect.

but then having got over the dissbelief of all of this, i only found a bloomin 9mm bullet in the wheel well!

i thought they had to log this shiser in and out when they went on jobs or training missions!

and, decomissioning, should involve fine toothed combing of the interior once leaving the force.   all the thames valley ones come out the depot valeted and like new cars inside,   this old gunship was full of un eaten custard cream packets stolen from a training seminar? lol, water bottles, paperwork, you name it, oh yeah and the taser and bullet.

and yes, have contacted the MET, and they are sending someone round from my force to view the items and get them back to their correct place.

could make and interesting story tho, as only last week a woman in a town 29 miles away from me, received a gun she signed from the courier for that was meant to go to the police training depot.
lucky was a lazer training weapon, but its getting crazy! who said dorset was a sleepy place!

that 9mm round has been fired mate. see the dent in the percussion cap where it has been struck by the fireing pin.and a tazer round is nothing more than a battery.

Did you actually say this:
Quote
“Any gang member who could get hold of a Taser would be delighted with a clip — it could do a world of damage.
I suspect the journalist put it to you that...
"Do you think, that, if a random gang member were old enough to own a license and plush enough to buy an new car, and lucky enough to think (as he got up) "I think I will go to an ex police car auction today", and even luckier enough to buy the one with some odds & sods left in it, and who happened to already have a taser in his back pocket that was oddly missing a battery, that it would be possible that he could hurt someone with it?"

And you said...

"Yeah, maybe".

And The Sun said...
Quote
“Any gang member who could get hold of a Taser would be delighted with a clip — it could do a world of damage.

tinkers...  :(
