Trying to set up an Epson wireless printer.  My WPA key is 64 random hex numbers - so somewhat tedious to enter.

After a few attempts, I realised the printer will only accept 63 characters.

FFS, this means I'll have to adjust all of my other wireless devices, Access Point claims I have 20 of them  >:(

I hate technology  >:(

Use a size 2 mallet, works for me.   :-X

Sammy Sledgehammer ran away about 2yrs ago after an incident with a DLT drive that was annoying me.  I reckon its been confiscated, but she denies that...

Mines just blames me all the time for tikering...even when I am 3000+ miles 'messing around in the sand' for several months..... ffs!

I have CAT 5 from the dining room (BT Home Hub) to the sitting room (BT Vision) simply because I don't like power line adaptors. Tempted to cable the Wiii, PS3 and TV as well (TV doesn't have WiFi :(), but then I would need a hub or switch.

I NEVER touch other peoples hardware, but will give advice, I will also speed up Windows on peoples PC (just turn off crap ;D).

TV PS3 and Humax PVR all have USB - not sure if I can connect them though Humax to Computer - copying programmes, anything to TV view pictures. All sorts I could do

Despite its age, my Access Point has SES setup, as does the printer. So dead easy to set up (once I had shortened WPA key by 1 character) :y

A bit of friggin with the DHCP server - no way of setting static IP by look of it.

That aside, I have to say I'm not normally impressed by computers, computing, or anything to do with them.  Usually quite the opposite in fact, I'm normally right (ie disappointed) because the stuff doesn't quite do what it claims to be able to.


But this little Epson, it does exactly what it says on the tin.  Normally the scanner section of all-in-ones is a right pig to use over the network, but not this one.  The only usability gripe, which I knew about before purchase, is the CD tray is a bit awkward to use.


Have to see how well the ink lasts - the print quality suggests to me it may use them fairly quickly, esp the black (only takes 1 black, unlike my old Epson that took 2).
