Use a size 2 mallet, works for me.   :-X

Sammy Sledgehammer ran away about 2yrs ago after an incident with a DLT drive that was annoying me.  I reckon its been confiscated, but she denies that...
Haha.. Do you have any DLT tapes kicking about still?

Also, have you had chance to dig them server hdd's out?

Glad You got the printer working in the end, I cant stand wireless crap! hence why my access point cover wont ever fit back on (got REALLY pissed off with it one day, so threw it as hard as i could... it broke the casing off, and then decided it was going to work fine again!)   >:( Having said that, ive been meaning to replace it for about 2 years!  :-/

I'm tidying out the room with the disks this weekend.  DLT tapes, think I gave all the DLT IVs to my brother.

Ah right cool, im not in a rush for them!  :y

Dont know what to do with the DLT drive I have, I assume it works, but its only 35gb (I think), so its not worth buying new tapes for it! (unless there dirt cheap) May buy a better drive off ebay maybe, and then some larger tapes. Having said that, 35gb is better than my DDS3 DAT drive!  :P

Whats the best make to go for now then that wont break the bank? Linksys? ::)

Cant moan about mine really, its a good 4-5 years old I would think, and it was an ebuyer value one! The PSU burnt out about a year ago, its 5v, so its now hard wired into a molex connector on the server. :P

I was offered a linksys AP about a year ago for a tenner, but the chap who had it flashed it with something else, seem to think it was linux based maybe? So wasn't sure what to do, esp since I know very little about linux. I forgot all about it too (until now!).  :-/

DLT more reliable than DAT.

35/70 needs DLT IV tapes.  Will work with DLT III, but only get 10/20G capacity.  Got a few cleaning tapes.

Ebuyer selling the Linksys WAP54G for £50. Good AP, though only 54G, not the 8.011N.

Just checked now... its a 20/40g so I may just buy a better one, there cheap as chips

As for the AP, I may hang fire (and hope my pile of semi smashed shite keeps working) untill a decent N range comes out.  ;D

Swap the leds out for a colour of your choice then, like the Gnome does with his xboxes.
