Hi

I'm quite desperate to get hold of a Cambelt DVD, the shop says can only be delivered to UK addresses without prior arrangement but there's no contact address to make 'prior arrangements'.

We (www.locost.co.za) ship regularly from the UK using SDV so delivery will be to SDV at Heathrow and I can pay by either bank transfer (from a UK Lloyds account) or credit card.

Unfortunately PenPal doesn't allow South African credit cards.

Please can someone help me out :-(

The shop is only able to take Paypal, or by exception, cheques drawn against UK banks.  None of these help you I'm afraid :(

I can send you a cheque from a UK Lloyds/TSB bank account, but with the postal service here in SA thats about as safe as sending cash !!!.

I can do an internet transfer of UK pounds from a Lloyds account direct to any UK account, that's how we pay most of our UK suppliers, all I need is an account name no and sort code. I don't expect shipment till the money is in your account

I appreciate security measure, but I can assure you this is not a scam, I can give you names and phone numbers of several UK suppliers who will vouch for me.

Can any forum members help me out here please

Can your UK depot here receive your cheque etc, and post it in the (relative) security of UK postoffice - assuming your tranpostation links to your UK place from SA are secure enough?

Hi

We only import from the UK, not export, so we don't have anything sent to them. SDV receive deliveries from several UK suppliers, then combine them into one shipment and air frieght them out to us, we pay them by bank transfer.

If you contact me 'off forum' brad@ridge.co.za I can give you the name and telephone number of our contact at SDV Heathrow, we have accounts and are well known at GAZ, Quinton Hazell, ETB Instruments and Rally Design amongst others if you have any contacts at any of those companies.

PM Sent, your offer is greatly appreciated, I'm more than willing to pay but can appreciate guys being reluctant to give out their bank details. Maybe I can find some way to return the favour sometime.

As an Ex-Lancashire lad you've restored my faith in 'Us Brits' :-).

Cheers

Hi,
My car is a 2000 Opel Omega 2.6 V6, I'm pretty sure it's an Omega B, but definitely V6 2.6L.
The transfer would be from a UK account so no heavy charges, but yes if I was transferring from here in SA the charges would be more than the cost.

Cheers
