« on: 14 January 2009, 00:02:03 »

i've always worked in factorys and got fed up so i put myself through an sia(security)coarse nov last year and just got my card start of jan so i applied for 1 job 1.8miles away in queensferry on sat,The company is based in morcambe so after a phone call at 11 o clock last night off one of the supervisors asking whether i could go for an interview on fri on site as he is not up here until then :-/ so i say i'll travel up there today if they'd like 88miles each way :-X
so i get there at 1030this morning to be met by the 2 managing directors thanking me for travelling all that way :y
anyway by 1130 i'm walking out of there with a new job, steelies, uniform etc.... and first dibs on the shifts so stupid me being me has just decided to do 7x12 hour nights start tommorrow:o

Any advice from anyone who has been a static security officer or similar please :y :y

But mate that the whole point of doing nights...you get ya head down and kip.

Think the best ive done on a 15 hour shift was 12 hours a kip.

Normaly average 6/7 hours...unless im wide awake then its just poker poker and poker all night...lol.
