It's difficult at this time, I know, but try not to think so much of the loss, but how very privileged you were to have such a great mum. You were much luckier than many others and she helped make you what you are today.

I lost my mum in 1980. I was so lucky to have been raised by her. I can never be thankful enough. I was blessed, as you have been.

Be strong for your dad and brother.

Thoughts are with you at a very difficult time... this is easy to say .. but hard to do ... try and remember the good times and don't dwell on the bad times. Time will help, but you never forget, after 3 years I still miss my Mum .. and I'm not exactly a youngster.

The rest of the family need you to be strong, but that doesn't mean you can't grieve or get upset.. you are as entitled to "blub" as the everyone else ... so do it....  then take the proverbial "deep breath" and do as "Mum" would have wanted.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and you family.  I know it was inevitable but I am sure that makes the pain no less difficult to bear.  I am glad she suffered no pain and she went in her sleep.  I think it has been mentioned already but focussing on good memories is a good way to grieve, don't dwell on any negatives you don't have to.  And I know you are concerned about your father and your bro, as I would be, don't forget to give yourself some attention and time to grieve also.  :y

Oh Bertie; I`m so sorry for your loss.
You`re so right, your Father and Brother really need you now more than ever.
The `coming days will be tough, but you must also be sure to take time for 'you'; to grieve and come to terms with 'your' loss.
It was surely the right thing for your Mum to come home to be with you all in her final days; your Mum left you precious memories of all the loving years shared as a family; it must be those 'happy' times that you remember and draw-upon as time passes.
