What I do, and not just for tents, but numerous other things .... go to big dealer/specialist places and have a good look around, decide what I want and walk out !!!

Get home then do some t'internet searching for that item ... find the best deal and buy .. :)

Got me telly from Yorkshire, fridge from Bristol, shed from Cumbria  .. :)

Awning from local place as they "price matched" ... went in with the URL of the best deal and they looked it up ... bingo .. sold to me at the same price :)

Works for me .. :)
I thought yours came from Roger Budden :D

Was that not Bob Dent, lakes 2008 :y

Get good advice, then negotiate!
Often works in my experience.

I've done my share of camping from boy scout canvasing through Kyham easy up tents on Shell Island, on to my trailer tent in Skeggy. I'm seriously thinking of (steady now TB) getting a small van.

We're planning a trip up to Inverness this year and don't fancy a night at the top end of Loch Ness in the freezing cold but at the same time I don't fancy dragging a van that far up the country! So I'm torn really! Use the tent? Use the trailer tent? Buy a van?  :-/ :-/
