In anticipation of work starting on my house on Monday, I thought that it was high time to sort the wheat from the chaf WRT the contents of my garage..............

I have to admit I hoard a lot of sh1t!!  ::)

Anyways, I was being brutal about what should stay and what should go. I slung a good working, (when it was removed.), A/C pump from a Senator. Shame, but I wasn't likely to use it.

So I jumps in SWMBO's Elite and there's a hideous rumbling noise from under the bonnet. So I switched the A/C off and the noise disappeared. So I figured A/C pump!!  :o

Someone please tell me that the pumps are different and I've not thrown away a useable part!!!! Please please please!!

(Oh and I'll probably be after a replacement pump in future if anyone's got a known good one kicking about!!)

The pumps are EXACTLY the same!

apart from the different seals used and the fact that the pipes enter and exit at different places and at different angles you mean????

Sorry dude but wrong!! you can fit complete Omega aircon system compressor and rad to a senator!! have seen it done and it all works fine!! however it cannot be done the other way round i.e senny into Omega!!

Yeh but the guys has a distinct advantage over us he is a master tech in a vxhall stealership so has access to all the parts, its his senny that has Omega aircon on !!!
