yup i got the 2 rubber ones [one tiny for bolt end & other for canister cap] & 2 copper ones, one of the copper ones goes on the bolt head which is fine but the other doesnt fit the sump plug ive got, i can only assume that the sump has been played with even though it doesnt look like anything has been done to it, the copper washer that came off is 25mm [1"] across & the hole is approx 18mm bore, does that help identify it at all :-/

In the Vx oil filters they always supply a copper washer (along with the rubber o-rings for the filter cap) but my sump plug needs a T8/10 to remove and has a o-ring bonded to it so I have never changed it.

Can replacement sump plugs be bought? I seem to remember Vx not having a clue when I asked them...

The oring is not bonded to it (well it wasn't originally..) and is replaceable.
Sump plugs are available too.

I've never received a copper washer with an oil filter of either type.. :-?

I thought the o ring was part of the plug.....think it was on my 2.2, rubber part, with a magnet on the end of the oil end of the plug. Maybe that was on later omega's  :-/ :-/

Always bought the 'O' ring separately, never had a problem, but then I usually buy 10 at a time.

I've usually bought them 1 for one with filters which I tend to buy 5 of at a time. Never a problem.  Can dig out the part number if need be.  I would certainly change it every other oil change.

Mine has probably lasted about 5 oil changes now, and I haven't got around to changing it yet - I have got an O ring set at home so I might just match it up if I can pop it out, never tried before.

id be interested to know if your sump plug is the same as mine being a similar year,on mine the copper o ring is a tight fit onto the plug itself & is of the crushable type, the plug itself is a 17mm hex head one, does this sound standard??
