I was advised against a Scottoiler by a few mechanics, as they say they are pants, but lots of other folk recommend... I duno...

I use the Silkolene Chain Gel, works ok for me, but I guess for folk whose chains are on show, it can make things look messy...

Chains are there for a job, and an important one at that. I think i would rather have a mess looking functional one, that a shinny one on the verge of breaking!

If you get some Paddock Stands it makes it easy to do your chain, wheels off loads of stuff can pick them up cheap too. Plus over the winter when you perhaps dont use your bike they also save your tyres :y

Jaime has one, but he mentioned its a two person job to lift it on?

Must admit, can't see me lifting my MT on one, i have enough trouble pedaling it around the garage!  ;D

They are easy to use Tunnie honestly, you can get a front and rear for about £40 and they lift on easy.
Chains are very important, make sure it is tight enough..... I had one years ago when I was learning jump off as I hadn't kept my eye on it and it was rather worrying :o

Agreed :)

I need to do mine again tomorrow, aswell as check the tension after todays run!

I wouldn't put the GM oil in the bike though, get some proper 4T oil...  but the coolant should be ok :)

Vauxhall Oil is fine, I use it in my Bike and it is no problem, doesn't make the clutch slip like people seem to think it will. I asked Mark and there isn't whatever it is that makes clutches slip  ;D cant remember what it was now ::)
