i have trouble doing 100 mile trip on my 660 cc  :o

Went for a blast to Banbury yesterday with TB, turned out we did a 60 mile blast though the lanes, very enjoyable ride out.

Keeps reminding me we should do an OOF biker meet up  :y
Yes, and I recall you had a crisis of confidence in one corner, and I nearly took you up the arse  :-[

Just been reading through the thread regards a bike meet.  Am not a biker but may have an idea for you all.

Like the OOF Members map, why not start a new one just for OOF bikers.  When you tag it just put your Name and Bike.  But for security put your flag in the local supermarket, McDonalds or Pub car park.  This would help members for meeting up.

Then as the map grows then add suggested meeting places with different coloured flags.  Just a thought, hope it helps.  :y

Posted in the other thread as well :y

i might have to look into one, should really give the bike a service at some point, but its going to get GM oil, coolant, brake fluid and spark plug  ;D
I wouldn't use it until you have that chain lubed ;)

Agreed :)

I need to do mine again tomorrow, aswell as check the tension after todays run!

I wouldn't put the GM oil in the bike though, get some proper 4T oil...  but the coolant should be ok :)

Vauxhall Oil is fine, I use it in my Bike and it is no problem, doesn't make the clutch slip like people seem to think it will. I asked Mark and there isn't whatever it is that makes clutches slip  ;D cant remember what it was now ::)
I also use vx oil in the Honda, after it didnt blow up the engine in your fizzy I thought I would give it a try and its been fine, not sure if something more modern like Tunnies bike would be ok using it,might be best to check first.
I had a scottoiler on my old gpz and it was brilliant, the chain never seemed to wear.A well respected engine tuner who I met told me that all these chain lube aerosols etc, are snake oil,he reckoned clean engine oil was as good if not better than any of them,so my chain now also runs on vx semi, and seems ok. :y
Re speeding fine Daz,just paid the £60,and handed in clean licence at local nick so they can make it all dirty. ::) :'(
Paul,no need to bother with fully synthetic,I dont.If your on a really high performance bike and thrashing it on track days etc then you would need it but in your case you would be wasting your money. :y

Try white spirits - brings them up like new if printed :-X

Either proper chain cleaner, or a rag lightly moistened with paraffin.

Don't saturate the chain as you may wash the grease out of the rollers and don't use petrol, it'll knacker your o-rings.

Well I've just done an oil change on the CG, and used the 10W40 semi, seems ok :)  Need to do it again in a week or so, as the oil was pretty black, so need to clean the centrifugal filter aswell (apparently an interesting job)

Still, cleaned up the other filter and other bits with a bit of petrol I siphoned out of the tank!  Seems to be ok with the VX stuff, so guess I should buy a 1ltr bottle to keep with the bike while I'm out  ;D
