It's good that so many of you have seen them, so GM must be selling them; they need to! ::) ::) :D ;)

Perhaps it is just me, but as I have said I have yet to see one around Ashford which is very surprising. :o

Give it ten years.

Yes, we do have a high proportion of 'older' cars around here, but there is a growing business community who I thought would be driving them by now.  As you say, 10 years time and they will be everywhere / going to the breakers!! ;) ;)

I worked in Mill Hill and had a mate from Ashford. We finished at 6 o'clock and he sometimes didn't get home until nine. Lorries stacked on motorway or something.

Had a test drive around the block (2 miles) a few weeks ago, 2.0CDTI 16v(160PS) Manual, hatchback. Plenty of torque, engine a little noisy compared to Ford diesels, headroom in the back not as good as an Omega, by a long way. Also the trim was very dark, in fact too dark if you go for the black option, (inside of a coffin).
Loads on the road around here, they do look very good.
Sorry not a Omega replacement !!!
regards
richarda

Anyone interested in the latest from GM is probably hanging on to an Omega until a suitable replacment comes along (never) :P

Oh yes STMO, that is one hell of a journey!! :o :o  I used to commute backwards and forwards to The Old Kent Road, South London every day. It could take me up to 3.5 hours to get home, when it only took 1.5 hours in the morning (or under 1 hour on a Sunday / Bank Holiday!) :o :o

The journey through New Cross, Lewisham, the South Circular and the M20 could all conspire against me (and thousands others!) with one journey I remember including going 1.5 miles in 1.5 hours!! :o :o

Your mate would no doubt have used the M25 / Dartford Crossing as well, which I avoided like the plague due to its horrendous holds up at rush hours. >:( >:(  God help anyone taking that route!! :'( :'(

It's replacement for the Vectra!
I noticed the back of one the other day. You'd have thought that when they had a clean sheet for a new car, they'd have found room at the back for 2 fogs & 2 reverse lamps. They've gone the route of using the driver's side reverse light for the rear fog ..... looks cheap to me. :-?

I've seen 6 or 7 in the last 2 weeks driving on the M40. I'm not so keen on the design of the rear end, it looks like you would struggle to get anything big in the boot

Interesting that you should say that, because when I was at the preview day of the Insignia last year, the boots I tried to look in were sealed, so never got to see inside one! :o :o :o  I wonder why now! ::) ::) ::) ::) ::)

The boot entry space looked quite narrow but that was only from a distance. I'm sure someone who's got first hand experience will advise
