deleting my acoount
« on: 18 April 2009, 23:10:34 »

just want to clear the air about what happened the other night. as most of you will know, me and ljay had a bit of a mis-understanding that turned a bit nasty. i must sholder most of the blame for what happened. what i said wasnt meant to cause offence but unfortunatley it did. i must admit that latley i have not been myself. due to personal reasons that i dont want to go into on an open forum. my problems are exactly that "my problems". i have sent ljay a pm and have recieved a reply. although we are not the best of friends we have agreed to bury the hatchet and move on.
now on to a more serious note. over the last few days i have recieved numerous e-mails and a fe woff-line msn messages telling me that i was out of order the other night and that people like me are not welcome on oof. so it is with much sadness and regret that i no longer class myself as a member off this great forum and am in the proccess of deleting my account.

on a personal note. to those that have told me i am no longer welcome. i only hope you dont carry on with this practice. if you do then you risk destroying a great forum. mi hope you feel happy now i have gone

to the rest of the decent members. you will be sorley missed. i have met some great people via this forum.

Do the powers that be have the ability to contant Kris to ask him to reconsider? I didn't see the latest altercation with ljay so can't comment, but if I cut ties with everyone I had a row with ....... it'd be a lonely place. ;D  ;D  ;D

if kris and ljay have a dispute, what the break has it got to do with anyone else, apart from jimbob who is her husband of course. i personally think that is unacceptable if anyone has been e mailing kris and saying that he is not welcome on oof. so now hes has been forced to leave because of this.

I would imagine there are people that have not got the balls to post what they want to say in public so do so by other means.

It is sad to see Kris go, and I detest people that arent honest enough to post openly on the forum their views, instead resorting to the (IMHO) underhand tactic of sending derogatory or threatening PMs.

I have not sent a PM at all to Kris, so cross me off the list, and I wish him the best for the future.

For those of who that DID pm Kris threatening or criticising, WELL DONE.....you have got what you want........ >:(

To the good OOFers (Goofers?) I salute you and this forum.

In recent personal experience, it would transpire I am not the only member in recent weeks, to receive emails (outside of the PM system) with messages about being "unwelcome"...

I hope that you will reconsider your decision kris when the dust has settled and when the person or persons who have sent you pms telling you your not welcome have been delt with our admins or by the big guy above.  Take great care and best wishes to you and yours. Gary.

Reconsider Kris..
Even if you do not post for a while never give in, does not matter what might have been said in haste.. If people hold grudges then so be it, do not give them what they want, chill out and stay a member even if it annoys those who sent messages..

Life is too short to hold a grudge that long.. :y

Really :-? i don't know what happened the other night, and I don't want to know but I did not realise there was another side to oof :(
Though I have not done it, I might be tempted to contact a member by other means to express an opinion, if for example I thought tey were out of order, but in no way is it my place to say who or who should not be a member, or even that they are unwelcome.
By the very nature of people we are all different, but we need to recognise that and accept it.  Life is too short to be falling out big time. :y

Thanks mate.

It really is water under the bridge... but anyone who thinks me going away was a toys and pram issue is very wrong - very wrong indeed.  :-X  :(

I am talking more the other month, than the other night.

It wasn't a case of falling out, it was just a case of an entirely nasty email, simelar to what Kris has described

Only difference being, the email I recieved was more related to my personal circumstances, rather than forum posts.

Unfortunately there are some issues. I just hope in light of recent changes, things will cease to occur...
