Hi playmates, Ive not been on here for quite a while & it seems there  have been a few fall outs which is a shame as everyone used to get on ok
Anyway I will try to bore/entertain you with my Sunday nightmare, it all started normal enough a trip out to the car boot sale stopping for some diesel on the way.
after a 1/4 mile the van started running a bit rough stalling etc, I put it down to letting the fuel get low before sticking some in, so I stopped & checked the diesel lines, primed it at the filter but it made no differance.

Starting was gettting more difficault as well,on getting home with access to my tools I proceeded to carry out a check of the diesel system, pouring some fuel into a container I smelt a rat or rather PETROL on checking the garage receipt the nightmare started to hit me I had stuck in 10 litres of freeking unleaded .

Oh i forgot to mention the, blue smoke billowing from my exhaust,
by this time I was thinking this is the end of my trusty van & proceeded to scour e-bay for a replacement.

Anyway  I returned to the van & drained out as much petrol as I could, then stuck in 10 lires of diesel, turned it over & it spluttered ino life, left it idling for 15 mins then set off for a test drive nursing it at first then opened it up a bit, now heres the strange bit It went like  a bat outta hell, no smoke  either, now the moral of this story is= no matter how much things go wrong, sometimes it all turns out alright in the end.

When i was working for comet 1 of the new drivers got distracted at the fuel pump on the local BP and put in over 75 lts of unleaded....boy did he get some stick from the transport gaffer....Plus i did as well cause i ran out in tamworth whilst trying to do 1 more delivery before fueling up....

Put £10 of diesel in an Astra GTE a few years ago. Just noticed in time and filled it to the brim with petrol. Got a strange look from the woman behind the counter at Tesco's.  
Should have told her it was Dual-Fuel 

Ran ok, well for the next 24 hours or so. Darned thing was stolen the following evening.

I think unleaded fuel cleared your engine and some deposits

My father did the oposite once.
He put 70 litres of diesel in a petrol car.
Of course the car stalled after 50 metres and then he accused me of ruining the car because I drove it the night before. Ypu shold 've seen the embarassment on his face when the repair man came and told him what he had done

Using wrong fuel I just can't understand  :-/

Now running out of fuel, like Jim did the other day, that I can understand.  I'm always doing it .  Now I'm guessing that mabny people can't see how I can run out...  :-/

One of my mates recently bought an Audi A6 3.0L V6 diesel. Driving home from work last week he stopped to fill up. As he was about to fill up his office phoned him on his mobile distracting him somewhat. As he put the fuel nozzle back in the holder he realised in dismay that he had just filled up with £70 worth of unleaded petrol!! It cost him £170.00 to call someone out to pump out the fuel, another £70 to fill up with diesel and 2 hours wasted time. At £310.00 that was a damn expensive fill up.......don't think he'll do it again!!
