Went to Vauxhal's this morning to by a car battery.

Which one do i by, 55 or 66?

£63.00 not inc my ABS discount.

Yup

the higher one may be tempting, but think it is a different shape / terminal arrangement, so may be tricky to fit.

There are 2 70 amp batteries list. What's the difference ..... apart from £27-ish ?  :y

the OE one is as fitted at the factory

the others are the VX GO batteries

What the actual difference is I've no idea.

On a similar not I bought a set of OE front brake pads that retail at near the £100 mark, and they feel a lot heavier / more substantial than the aftermarket vauxhall ones.  I will weigh em and see if there really is a differnence.  for the record, they cost me less than the normal tradeclub price  :D  (£11)

I replaced mine last year dealer said the 65amp one is now for the 3.0litre 93189923...works fine  ::)

I replaced mine, I got him to order me a  70 amp  :y

Went for The 70amp.

as above,

Part number 93165162 £75.48 + 15% vat.

also bought,
 
Oil, 4x5ltr for the price of 3 (£32.67) and 5ltr red antifreeze (£10.23)

Total for all above inc VAT £136.14.
