Thank You Gordon Brown
« on: 08 May 2009, 00:15:11 »

Got my Medical exemption certificate through today, no more prescription charges for me, :y :y :y and I can get a refund on my annually purchased one. :y

I feel that prescriptions should be free to all, but they are not, at the moment, in England, so I am personally happy as it will save me a lot of money :y :y

Ours are anyway in Wales  :P

I think they should be free anyway, they reckon only about 2% of prescriptions are paid for, that can't be fair  :-/

Two of my prescriptions I get for free, if I should happen to need anything else then I will have to pay for it.

You're OK then, they're not! :-? .......... in England. We just contribute to those 'elsewhere' who do have free prescriptions!

What annnoys me is that some "lifelong conditions" qualify for free meds and some don't  :(  I have hypertension (amongst other things!!) and am on pills for the rest of my life, yet have to pay for them  -- someone I know has coeliac (sp) disease and even gets a lot of specialised food ....FREE ... on prescription!!!!
