Washin Machines ?????
« on: 06 February 2007, 23:04:37 »

Im begining to think there's a resemblance with me & washin machines,
and Omega's & sensors  :-/

In less than 5 years . . .  well lets just say we bought a new one in Dec 06. (no4)
Got a nice washer dryer in the garage that needs a part.... (so i always have a spare washer)

And Mick noticed tonight its making a funny noise (its not 3 months old yet  :-[ )
I blame the water.

I admit i like washing & i take the clothes off mick, just so i have some!!
does anyone else have a problem with washin machines ?????

Im thinking am a Jinx  :-?

We got a new washing machine a couple of months ago, and had an electrician (who knew nothing about washing machines…) install it for us. It made horrific noises from day 1, on closer examination it turned-out that he never removed the three bolts locking the drum in transit, and they sheered inside…

I called up the supplier, told them the truth, but also pointed out that there was nothing on the back of the machines to indicate that these bolts needed to be removed (though it did say so in the instructions leaflet).

My point was that something as important as this should be clearly labelled in bright colour on the back panel e.g. REMOVE BEFORE OPEARTING MACHINE etc. I must say they were very good about it and supplied a new machine straightaway, this time I took the bolts off myself…

I have a problem with any by the hotpoint chain!

Since getting a miele, no problems :)

bit dear mind, but did get it with a 10 year parts and labour guarantee included, so not bad when you consider no bills for 10 years!

I have a problem with my wife and daughter using the washing machine. They cram and I mean CRAM everything into it and wonder why it makes such a noise and chases them around the kitchen when they turn it on. They cannot get there heads around a 10lb load if theres space in the drum they will fill it ::)

Underwires from bras is another favorite to get between the inner and outer drums and make a noise ;)

Went between drum and door I think.

Pity the socks were mangled 1 blue 1 brown, that said I do have a blue sock with a hole in it

Technician please........Very few will have any form of engineering qualification....

Not surprised the Dyson ate socks.....counter-rotating drum assemblies never did look like a good engineering solution without getting the odd bit of clothing damage....!!!

Bra under wire would be my bet......try looking through the holes in the drum witha  torch to see if anything is stuck.....
