swinton insurance query

the cow that hit my mig told me that she has got her insurance with swinton
i had some solicitor forms come in the post today and it says on her details that her insurance is with hsbc

are they linked or is she trying to fob me off >:(

Swinton are a broker HSBC are an underwriter (Insurer) so Swintoin basically introduce clients to a panel of underwriters and charge you for doing it! (Middlemen basically)

thats ok then
just thought it was strange that she told me swinton and her details on this form says hsbc with her policy number :y

As long as she is insured you've nowt to worry about.

there are not many 'real' insurers, most the companies are underwritten by just a few.

the solicitors called and said it may take a few months for the claim to pay out looking around christmas
they said if i let the insurance's sort it then they maybe just offer me £1500 or nothing at all
if i let these solicitors sort it the minimum i will get is £1500 and it will be more

do you think i should wait or get in touch with the insurance first before i sign the forms to let the solicitors take it over for me

personally i'd give it to the solicitors to deal with if its xmas theyre saying then you will have one really good christmas!!!
