More forums / sub-forums
« on: 26 May 2009, 18:34:05 »

Guys,

How about creating some forums or sub-forums for Tuning / modification broken down into Wheels & Tyres, Engine & Exhaust, Chassis, etc...

I think that this would make those interestind in modding their Mig find the necessary articles easier and encourage more posts around these rather than just putting them in the general secion.

the software we use cannot do sub forums.  Was supposed to be a feature of the new version due out in the summer, but they've massively postponed it (guessing it will be at least 12 months for it to appear)

maybe known good performance tips should make it into an faq  :-/

tyres are too personal - what works for one won't work for others...

Tyres true, but sizes on upgrades and wheel fitments... along with where to buy etc... could be useful.

Look forward to the next release!

...but there is the ICE / Elecrrical section, I guess the above sits similarly to this?

The impression I get is that ICE/Electrical is always going to be busier than an Omega Modding section, particularly as Omega seems to be a car not modded as much as, for eg, Vectras/Astras/Corsas.  My own view is maybe a FAQ post might cover the basics, eg:

Wheel: 110PCD, 35-38ET
Induction Kits: Don't bother, stick to OE
Courtney flywheels: Sod all difference
2.5/2.6 power improvements: 3.0l cams, and bit of porting
2.0l power improvements: Buy a V6 ;D
