Youve got a point.

Not been on a plane for years, and unlikely too for a while.

as on average its the safest transport....should be ok for a while now.

Anyone heard anything of the old bermuda triangle lately?

Havent been on a plane for 30 years, but when I get the chance I fancy going on a cruise and venture off to the States for a while.

Would love to do that. Not been to the states since I worked there in 2002/2003.  :'(

Must put the co-ordinates into my GPS in case I accidentally overfly it in my glider. :y

What about this one http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/europe/8149910.stm

To me it is pathetic that they tried to do this.

I think the two Air France aircraft crashes were more disturbing than this latest one, with the former consisting of modern, apparently well maintained, aircraft, but with the Iranian Tupolev plane I do not believe this can be said.

It certainly will never put me off flying, and indeed I am booked to fly to Florida in December.  You still have a greatly increased chance of dying in a car than an airplane. ;) ;)

However, the flowers were sucked into the plane's engine causing it to catch fire and explode.

So, this is presumably a rotax about the size of a shoe box and it "caught fire and exploded"? Bit of creative journalism - surely not from the BBC. :o

Very true. Not that I would know! The scariest moment on a plane for me was flying from Manchester to Edinburgh on business. It was a prop plane and I sat down and leaned on the side to look out the window. The whole panel just dropped off.  :o :o

I sheepishly called the steward over and he said it happens all the time!!  :o :o
