Sky - Update
« on: 21 July 2009, 15:45:24 »

Supposidly having HD fitted today.

Engineer supposed to ring by 9:30am, did'nt
Call centre said he would be here between 2:00 and 4:00 pm
Neighber told me as she went out a Sky van was sat outside for 20 mins at 11:30am
Service centre then told me the appointment was for PM (12-5)

Engineer turned up at 3:15pm, took one look at all the options and then promptly told me they could not fit Sky becuase of the tall trees at the rear of the property.

I had  the same problem  trees - crap equipment installer. I phoned Sky again  told them what i thought of them ,next day an engineer and a properly trained installer came .Result Sky plus fitted, better deal on the programme package and a months free rental.
Sky told my parents who've had a similar problem  that the bulk of the installers they use are bobbins because Sky wont pay decent wages .Whats that saying  if you pay peanuts  etc

Am allready pissed off with ith it.

On the planner on the old box, I could set every saved channel for series link and auto view if I chose to.

Now it seems I cant set auto view but am forced to set it to record.  Thought these things were supposed to improve, not get worse. :-/

You can still remind program/series rather than record, if thats what you mean. Just press select and it will ask to Remind Once or Series.  :y

Not thread hijacking, sky related. I have the full package, including sports and movies. I am sitting here at the keyboard because there is break all on any of my three million channels. I would seriously consider telling them to stuff it, but then something good would be on tomorrow. :(

Was used to it automatically changing channels on the standard box as well though.

It should do if it is a reminder, must admit I have not tried the reminder thing, as I just record everything and watch it when I get chance.
