Help identifing an old sci fci film

Just caught the end of an old film from my childhood (starman)

it reminded me of a very old sci fci I saw a few times as a kid....

does it ring any bells and can anyone identify it.

I remember very little...

It was black and white (I think)
there were aliens controlling a few humans....they did this by sucking them down through the 'sand' near a house with an old rickety wooden fence.  iirc the humans had a little scar or something behind their ear afterwards.


Very little to go on I know, but thought someone here may remember it  :-/  would love to see it again for old times sake.

Yep invaders from mars....I remember BBC 2 showing em at 6pm back in the 80`s along with star trek....When worlds collide,war of the worlds and when the earth stood still  ;D ;D ;D

Had a quick scroll through the film on that site, thats what it was all right
suprised to see it was in colour (just).

looking forward to watching that again.
