What poxes me off is the fact that supermarkets control the cost of local fuel prices. I was in Wrexham last Tuesday and the petrol in the local Sainsburys was 101.9 yet in Northwich the same day at Sainsburys it was 105.9 >:(

Ther'a similar situation in most places Pete. For instance, ASDA in Barnsley promise to be the cheapest locally, so I can get it for 101p there. Drive 10 miles to Wakefield and it's 103p, still the cheapest locally.

You underestimate the power of the people.
Look back to 1981 and 1985 (among other years) if you think you can't do anything  ;)

Hi Pete. As you know i travel the country & it's not just supermarkets that vary thier prices regionally, ALL the main oil co. forecourts are doing it as well. Not sure what premise they base this on but they still do it. ::)

They weren't bad, they were deluded in the first place if they thought it was OK to nick one of them.

Especially when the lazy fat bastard uses a Jag to travel between No: 10 and the houses....a distance of 250 yards!

If he really gave a toss, he'd be using a Toyota Pious (and no, that's not a spelling error).

I was young(ish) and skint. Anything on four wheels was ok for me. But I was still glad to see the back of it. Bought a triumph herald with the proceeds.
