Mmmm well as to who they asked...
judging by the selected songs most are from brit pop era, mid 90's. Presuming the average fan then was 18 people in late 20's to early 30's i geuss. Although Mr Brightside is only a few years old so maybe current teenagers that follow indie music?

Oh i only know Oasis because my 16 year old son loves them...better than him being into RnB i suppose

i suppose the first 2 oasis albums were the anthems of that generation so to them it would be their favorite songs

quite liked Oasis, a proper band with decent tunes  :y

i guess nowadays talent is defined by warbling through some robbie williams dirge in front of simon cowell?  :(
great talent is defined by warbling through some robbie williams dirge in front of simon cowell, when your mum/dad/brother/sister/husband/wife has just died  ;D

I wonder, with the amount of people here disaprooving of Oasis being in the list, what about The Killers as number 2?
I dont really see them as a 'proper rock band' that Oasis are....

Oh ,they are played on the radio alot, pretty much across most genres.
I wonder if this list would be any diferent with the news of the Oasis split (it must have been done before as they only split on Saturday) However might be atleast in part to do with the fact they have just finished a big world tour.

I don't dislike Oasis or the Killers...or any on that list. The only band I have ever disliked is Coldplay, and that is purely down to that woefull, wailing tosspot Chris Martin.
My point is that not one of them qualifies as even in the top 20 Best Songs Ever. Think about it..."Best Song...EVER !"
Personally I don't think I could pick a best song ever. I could possibly narrow it down to 10 equal best songs ever.
