Ljay.....I'll have you know man flu is very nasty to us men. It means having to take nasty medicine such as whiskey or port and brandy to help relieve symptoms
and drinking plenty of fluids like beer and lager to stem a raging thirst. How would women cope with that?!!  ::) ;D ;D
Ljay is a woman, thus lower pain threshold that us manly folk who only groan when its a near death experience.....

When you're male isn't everything a near death experience then? Must be judging by the moaning and groaning that goes on!! Coupled with the fact that you refuse to do anything to help yourselves but prefer to 'suffer' out loud making life unbearable for everyone else!!!

Men......Drama queens the lot of you!!!! ;D :P ;D

I had either swine flu or a summer cold in August. Never went to the doctor never missed any work. I would say if it was swine flu it was a bad cold but nothing serious.

I believe it becomes serious if you have other problems, especially respitory problems.

Oh yes and I was the only one in the family of 4 to get it. and that is probably because I am the least healthy of all of us.

Not so sure you can compare swine flu to a common cold. I don't know a great deal about it but this is what I read about swine flu symptoms on NHS Direct.
Symtoms include high temperature/fever (over 38 deg C), unusual tiredness, shortness of breath or cough, loss of appetite, aching muscles, diarrhoea or vomiting. The only similarities to a cold is runny nose, sore throat and headache.

I must say, I really don't fancy that lot!! :-?

Agreed bob I cannot say for sure that I had it, but I think you missed out the word Can from the list of symptoms. I believe in most cases symptoms are fairly mild.

And I do believe if you where suffering from all those symtoms at the same time you would indeed be in a bad way.

And no I don't fancy it either, I suppose deep down I was hoping I have had it mildly and will now be somewhat immune to it, oh dear I can hope I suppose.
