International Car Free Day.
« on: 21 September 2009, 15:20:05 »

Im not normally one for these green issues.....but this one has caught my attention for some reason.

Tomorrow, 22nd Sept, is international Car Free day.

I have decided to take part, and will use a different method of transport, and will leave my car at marks home  ::)

I think you should all follow suit.

Find me someone who will carry the tools, ladders, reels of cable, and all the other crap for £5 for the day and I'll quite happily join the cause.

Got a car free day in York too.

Looking forward to the traffic free roads, should be able to get a parking spot straight away too....

Does anyone else think this event is a total waste of time and money?

What really annoys me is there is no such thing as International Car Free Day. It is not on the statute books of any country, it is not an official day It is merely something dreamed up by a green pressure group, don't know which one, but don't care frankly. Anyone can dream up something like that.

Absolute cobblers.  >:( >:( >:( >:(

I am unwittingly going to support it, as I am not going out tomorrow ::)

But then again.... ::)
