After almost 12 months of no work and waiting for suitable jobs to turn up to apply for I have finally got an interview. I knew as soon as I saw the job I had the experience to get an interview so when the e-mail came through today I was over the moon. I know I haven't got the job yet but you can't imagine what a relief it is just to get an interview. Wish me luck :)

Best of luck Pete, the only advice I can offer is to dress smart, be as confident as you can and make lots of notes beforehand. I'm very nervous in interviews so at my last I apologised for my nervousness as soon as I went in and asked if it was ok to refer to my notes if I needed to, they were fine with that and in the end I didn't need to ;) :y

I`ve been in the same job for 38 years but, as my daughter was out of work since leaving university for 2 years and applied for countless jobs, i know how you must feel just to get an interview :).  It annoyed me when she applied for jobs and didn`t even get a reply most of the time. >:(  Just a lack of common courtesy i think. She finally got the job she wanted ;) Good luck mate :y
