Been to doctors today as I got sent home from work on Sunday, my first day in for 12 days, because I looked like shite!

Went in for a certificate and he said it sounds like I've had swine flu... Apparently I fall right in the middle of the high risk demographic (25-35, generally fit and healthy, rarely ill) and was hit very hard by it!

Upshot was he signed me off until the 14th (my last shift) so I won't be back at work till Monday :y :y

Getting a bit frustrated really as I generally feel OK in the afternoon and evening but am feeling really rough for the first 4 or 5 hours of the day :( :(

Somehow I thought you were a lot little older than that.......... :D :D :D :D

Not talking to you any more! :P :P :P

How can we assist certain members with their post count if you are not talking to me....... :D :D :D

Hmm. Been feeling ropey myself today. Just my luck that I end up getting it just before I get my vaccination. >:(

I get the flu one each year and this year I guess I will get the swine flu one as well.  Problem is, though my doctors says not, it that I get ill 2 to 3 weeks after getting my flu jab, but dare not take the chance of not having it.... :( :(

I used to have the flu jab every year... It makes sense that you may get ill as it is a small dose of the virus ::) ::)

Never had any worse than a dead arm the next day.

Don't always bother but I think I'll be queueing up with the blue-rinsers this year just in case.

I think those with under lying health issues, e.g.asthmatics, heart issues, should certainly consider it.

Mrs G is prone to chest infections when she gets a cold and has encountered breathing problems in the past. Wouldnt want that to get worse with a severe dose of flu much less swine flu....
